A Little Bit About Jay
In 1990, I moved my family to Medicine Hat to work with Monarch Broadcasting, quickly realizing it was the perfect place to raise our two boys. Over my 25 year career with Pattison Medicine Hat, I guided the radio stations to success, winning awards like Radio Station of the Year while prioritizing community involvement. After retiring, I took over The Cheesecake Cafe along with my friend and business partner Regas Evangelos. We focused on creating memorable experiences for all, which earned us accolades for marketing and a great many friends.
My volunteer work includes coaching at the Medicine Judo Club and raising funds for The Great Cycle Challenge to combat kids' cancer. Over my 8 years of involvement, I've cycled 9,500 kilometers and raised $38,000 for The Sick Kids Foundation.
Family is my priority and my two sons, now a doctor and an electrical engineer, make me proud. Additionally, I cultivate a large garden, producing enough ingredients to create my popular Hitchen’s Hot and Sloppy Salsa enjoyed by many.
